Project Focus

HMAS Stirling Armament Wharf Extension

Budget

$64,000,000

Problem

Extension of Armament Wharf at HMAS Stirling to accommodate new vessels.

Solution

Installation of new infrastructure to enhance the wharf’s ordnance loading capabilities.

The project involved extending the existing wharf to support the loading needs of the Royal Australian Navy’s Supply Class Replenishment Ships and Hunter Class Frigates. The installation of infrastructure was designed to meet Defence’s stringent technical and safety requirements, ensuring the project’s success while enhancing operational capacity.

Bindoon Special Forces Training Facility

Budget

$2,000,000

Problem

Aging infrastructure at Bindoon Special Forces Training Facility.

Solution

Refurbish buildings and infrastructure to bring them into compliance to the National Building Code.

The project included the refurbishment of key operational buildings, including the range control and ablutions buildings. Warlitj carefully scheduled the works and coordinated with various trades to avoid disrupting SAS Regiment training activities, including live firing exercises. The project was delivered on time and praised for maintaining operational readiness during construction.
